Plantar Fasciitis is defined as an inflammation of the fibrous tissue along the bottom of your foot that connects your heel bone to your toes. This commonly results in a quite a bit of heel pain.
Plantar Fasciitis can commonly be seen in runners and other athletes, people who do not have the right support in their shoes, those who have occupations requiring them to be on their feet for extended periods, as well as those that are overweight.
Treatments for Plantar Fasciitis include different exercises for stretching and strengthening, orthotics, surgery, or even regenerative medicine injections.
